At the Cliff's Edge

Jaden sat, knees pulled up to his chest with his arms loosely draped over his legs, he looked out at nothing in particular. He acknowledged the large amount of blue that was stretched out in front of him, after all there wasn't much of any other colour apart from the slight glint of white from the snow that had failed to fall and stick properly or maybe it was just because it got so cold in the night the place was frosting over.

Jesse took a slow walk over to the lump of red, brown and white he knew to be Jaden, at least for the moment he hoped it was. He wasn't worried about starling the boy, after all he was his friend, there wasn't much Jaden could do. "Hey Jay" he said, taking on a loud tone just to grab his friends attention.

Mokey Mokey hovered above the cliffs edge, it was half hidden by a hudge diamond shaped leaf. It looked down at the boys, of course neither of them could see, it hoped, it was rare for somebody to have the ability to see duel spirits.

Jaden looked up at the sound of his friends voice, "hey Jess" he replied, a grin spreading across his mouth. "You staying here for winter too? Hey, we could head over to Domino if you wanted, check out Yugi's place or..." he trailed off, his eyes locked onto a small square of light blue behind Jesse's head, he forced himself to blink twice hard before realising the blue square was real, another duel spirit? He wondered. "Looks like somebody wants to join in" he said.

"I guess so" Jesse smiled in response to his friends question, he himself didn't have anywhere to go for winter, at North Academy he'd stay their all year round to duel, a young duellist's dream. He was about to respond and tell Jaden he'd love to check out Yugi's town but he noticed his friends gaze change, and it was aimed right behind him. Jesse, having the ability to see duel spirits just like Jaden turned around to see the same blue spirit he did. "Is that... A Mokey Mokey?" his eyes widened.

Mokey Mokey span in a circle.

"Mokey Mokey"..

Jaden looked from his bluenette friend to the spirit. He remembered dueling a kid with a Mokey Mokey deck in his first year, that was one relaxing duel for everybody but him.

He looked up at Jesse and nodded in the direction of the blue mess "he was probably attracted to your hair" Jaden grinned at his bad joke.

Jesse chuckled as his friends mess of a joke. "He was probably attracted to your bright red jacket" was his reply, which really wasn't any better than Jadens lame joke.

The Ojama Yellow watched the two boys. It looked at the Mokey Mokey, an other spirit, and the boys were talking to it. Chazz wasn't the only one with a gift. "Hey Slackers! Youre not allowed here" it yelled.

Just as Jaden was about to reply, Chazz's yellow bundle of annoyance appeared, and for once it was not with Chazz. "Is something wrong Ojama? I don't see Chazz here" Jaden said in a friendly manner.
